AFRICAN TEA

Tea production on the African continent started in Malawi and 25 years later moved to Kenya, which became one of the largest tea-producing countries in the world. Nowadays tea production is concentrated in the South African region. Tea plays a big cultural role in different parts of the continent and has its unique reflection like Morocco's green teas flavored with mint and sugar and black tea served with milk and sugar in Kenya.

SATEMWA (MALAWI)

Satemwa is a family-owned estate, located in Malawi, in the southern part of Africa. This place is the motherland of the first commercially grown tea in Africa since 1878. This particular tea comes from a family that has produced tea since 1923. Skills passed on from generation to generation, inspired by eastern tea cultures, adapted to local climate conditions, and growing and processing methods refined to perfection: this tea farm can offer a wide variety of different styles of high-quality teas. The tea plantations for the production of this unique artisanal product are more than 50 years old, while also 100% organic and all the teas are fully handmade.
