WULONG STORY is an invitation to dive deep into one of the most sophisticated and diverse worlds of Chinese tea - the world of wulong. This meeting will be dedicated not only to exceptional teas themselves, but above all to mastery: the knowledge, experience and craftsmanship required to transform the leaf into a tea capable of expressing its cultivar, terroir and the individual skill of its maker. During the event, we will taste a selection of outstanding wulongs representing some of China’s most famous tea traditions and explore the remarkable diversity hidden within this single category. From the mineral depth and complex roasting of Wuyi Yan Cha to the extraordinary aromatic character of Phoenix Dan Cong and the refined traditions of Tieguanyin, we will discover why wulong is often regarded as one of the clearest expressions of tea-making mastery.

This journey will lead us into the world of Gongfu Cha - the Chinese art of preparing tea with skill and attention. We will explore its historical and cultural background, traditional teaware and brewing principles, and learn how changes in the proportions of leaf and water, temperature, brewing time and choice of vessel can reveal completely different dimensions of the same tea.
