VIETNAM TEA EXPERIENCE

"TEA PRODUCTION"

Welcome to the Vietnam Tea Experience: A Journey Through Tea Craftsmanship
April 19th to April 26th 2026

From the lively streets of Hanoi to the tranquil valleys and misty jungles of the northern mountains, this country fascinates with its natural beauty, rich traditions, and kind-hearted people living in harmony with nature. Welcome to the Vietnam Tea Experience - a journey created to explore the heart of Vietnamese tea culture. Together, we will travel through key tea-producing regions, meet local tea masters during the most important harvesting season, and witness the full process of tea cultivation, handpicking, and artisanal production.

The Vietnam Tea Experience is organized by AN SHIM TEA in collaboration with AN TRÀ TEA, with the support of the Vietnamese Tea Association. Our shared mission is to promote the beauty and depth of Vietnamese tea culture while supporting local tea producers and artisans. After 8 years of refining this program, we are proud to offer an authentic, educational, and deeply inspiring tea experience.

ABOUT

Vietnam is one of the world’s oldest tea regions, home to vast areas of ancient tea trees stretching from the northeast to the northwest. In recent years, the Vietnamese tea culture has experienced a true renaissance, evolving into something distinctive and deeply authentic. The combination of unique climate, high altitude, mineral-rich soil, and steady humidity creates ideal conditions for tea cultivation, resulting in teas with exceptional purity, character, and taste. This land is also home to diverse ethnic communities, including the H’Mông, Tay, Kinh, Nung, Dao, and others, who have preserved ancient traditions of caring for tea trees.

The Vietnam Tea Experience is designed for small, intimate groups and offers a rare opportunity to immerse yourself in the country’s tea heritage. With a thoughtfully curated 7-day program, participants gain a deep understanding of tea’s cultural, agricultural, and spiritual dimensions. For over eight years, we have been organizing professional tea experiences across Asia, and Vietnam holds a special place among them. Each year, we welcome new participants and continue to highlight the beauty and potential of Vietnamese tea.

Our team speaks English, Vietnamese, and Russian, ensuring full communication and assistance throughout the journey. Your comfort, safety, and inner peace remain our highest priorities.

TEA EXPERIENCE

We plan to visit some of Vietnam’s finest tea masters, traveling through several of the country’s most renowned tea regions known for their exceptional quality. Our journey will begin in the sun-drenched province of Sơn La, home to vast high-mountain tea plantations, where we will explore the full process of cultivating, harvesting, and crafting teas of the highest mastery. We will meet a local tea master, engage in professional discussions, and conduct a formal tea tasting to evaluate the quality of their production. One of the highlights will be an overnight stay directly on the plantation, waking up surrounded by morning mist and tea fields.

From there, our path will lead north to the Hà Giang province, near the Chinese border, famous for its abundance of ancient tea trees, some hundreds of years old. Local artisans here preserve traditional methods and produce some of the most authentic teas on Earth. Together with a tea master, we will visit a tea factory, head into the mountains to participate in tea harvesting, and take part in the processing of several tea types. This experience combines professional depth and cultural authenticity, offering a truly unforgettable tea journey.

Upon returning to Hanoi, we will conclude with the “Hanoi Tea Experience” - a tasting session in a tea house featuring some of the finest Vietnamese teas we discover and source each year. We will also visit the ceramic village of Bát Tràng, renowned for its master potters who specialize in teaware for the traditional tea ceremony. The combination of high-quality clay and craftsmanship passed down through generations results in unique works of art deeply valued in high tea culture.

This tea experience is a rare opportunity to expand your taste palette, deepen your understanding of Vietnamese tea, and, for those involved in the tea business, establish direct connections with local producers dedicated to preserving and promoting the art of highest mastery tea in Vietnam.

ACCOMMODATION

Throughout the journey, we will stay in a variety of carefully selected accommodations, where comfort is one of our main priorities. Nights will be spent in cozy hotels in Hanoi, guesthouses surrounded by tea plantations, and quality hotels in the capital of Hà Giang province, located near our partner tea factory. Each participant will have a private room by default to ensure complete comfort and relaxation.
