AUTHOR'S PRODUCT LINE

This is the second year when we have produced our own Sheng Pu'Er from ancient tea trees in Vietnam! Having been sourcing and dealing with quality Gu Shu material for more than six years, in 2022 we decided to open a new chapter in our tea journey and start to produce our tea!

For most Pu'Er tea connoisseurs blended tea is quite a common thing! In China, tea producers have created blended Shu and Sheng since the early 70's! In Vietnam Pu'Er tea culture is quite young and tea lovers are used to dealing with 'single origin tea'! For many years I've been traveling and observing, studying the topic of Pu'Er tea and experimenting to eventually begin to create something that turned me from a researcher into a tea producer!

I and my partners worked in the tea industry for a very long time and have great connections which help us to provide high-quality tea made by the most experienced tea masters in Vietnam! We do wholesale and now we have our product line where we try to create a special tea by blending different materials! We also provide a very special service which is called "Custom Tea" where we create special recipes/blends for tea brands and merchants!

"7566" is our first blended Sheng Pu'Er which started the author's product line created by AN TRÀ and AN SHIM TEA. We dedicate this tea to our long-term relationship and memorize this moment with the name '7566" which means 7566 km between Riga and Hanoi. This distance never stopped us from dreaming and creating a better future for Vietnamese tea. We believe this tea will start a new chapter in Vietnamese Pu'Er culture and attract people to learn more about the culture of aged tea.

Using raw materials from different provinces of the Northern part of Vietnam, we tried a lot to create a special tea with its original character and flavour. We used different aged tea leaves to balance aroma and taste, as well as harmonize the energy inside. This product already tastes like a semi-aged Pu'Er tea and was met with positive feedback from our customers.

AN II is our second creation which continues our author's product line created by AN TRÀ and AN SHIM TEA. Completely different character, taste, and energy!

TEA IN VIETNAM

There are 8 regions in Vietnam and it is possible to find tea production in each of them. The most tea-producing regions are the Northwestern Region (TÂY BẮC) and Northeastern Region (Dong Bac) located in the North part of the country and divided into 9 provinces famous for their tea.

SHAN TEA is a unique wild variety of Camellia Sinensis that grows high in the mountains of the Northern part of Vietnam. SHAN TEA or SNOW SHAN (snow-upon-a-high-mountain) arises from the thick snow-white coat of fur that embraces each silky green tea bud. This telling feature enables the tea leaves to thrive at a height of 2000 meters above sea level, hampered by bitingly cold and frosty climate all year round. Ranging along North West Mountainous area: from Hà Giang, Yên Bái, Lào Cai to Lai Châu, Điện Biên, Sơn La ... Each of those lands is filled with Snow Shan Tea traces. Depending on the different soil conditions, climate, harvesting habits, and crafty processing methods in each province, Snow Shan Tea Taste would vary accordingly.

Snow Shan Tea in Vietnam has been gradually affirming its position in competitions around the world with its unique delicious flavor and endless stories of cultural identity and the vitality of Vietnam mountains.

"7566" (2022)

Award-winning "AN II" (2023)

This is our second blend which continues our author's product line created by AN TRA and AN SHIM TEA. Made from high-quality spring raw material harvested from ancient (350+ years old) tea trees from different provinces aged in a natural storage for several years before being pressed in 2023. All the material is one bud and two leaves. Very light and sweet, and ready to impress those who don't like astringency and bitterness in Pu'Er tea. This one is very smooth and delicious! The average age of raw material is about 3 years so it already gained some character and deepness. At the same time, this one is very different from our first blend "7566" and gives you more experience with Snow Shan tea from Vietnam.

"AN III" (2023)

AN III is our third signature Sheng (Raw) Pu'Er, made by blending various raw materials from different provinces of Vietnam. This blend consists of raw materials harvested from 350-500-year-old tea trees in different years and aged in Vietnam's natural storage for several years before being blended and pressed in 2023. This is our third blend which continues our author's product line created by AN TRÀ and AN SHIM TEA with the help of the Vietnamese Tea Association. We tried to make a rich and balanced tea, different from our previous blends 7566 and AN II, by using very special Mao Cha with unique flavour and character which makes this one very special.

"PU'RE LOVE 1.0"

This Sheng (Raw) Pu'Er is the crown jewel of our special selection for several reasons. Firstly, this tea consists of 100% wild tea leaves harvested from 500+ year-old tea trees. The harvesting and production process, as well as further aging, was carried out directly under our control and our participation. We are very proud of this product, as this quality is very rare to find. Such raw materials are highly valued among connoisseurs for their unsurpassed taste and potential for further transformation over time. The tea trees from which the raw materials were harvested grow at an altitude of more than 1,200 m above sea level, in an ecologically clean environment, a wild jungle with superior conditions for a tea tree to grow! "PU'RE LOVE 2.0"

As a huge fan of Pu'Er tea, I am always on the lookout for something special and unusual during my travels. This tea is one of my best finds during all my travels to Vietnam. Tea leaves harvested from 150-year-old tea trees and aged for 4 years in the mountains of Hà Giàng province, this tea is a stunning example of mature Sheng (Raw) Pu'Er aged in the humid conditions of the Vietnamese mountains. In 2023, we purchased a small lot and personally pressed this tea into 200 g cakes for further storage.

"120/80" (2023)

120/80 was our very first project with AN TRÀ and Vietnamesethe Tea Association back in 2018 when we traveled to Hà Giang province to discover 'ancient tea'. The idea is very simple - 120/80 is the ideal blood pressure for the human body, with a much lower risk of heart disease. This tea, made from organic material, should bring a unique organoleptic experience as well as beneficial properties for tea drinker’s health. By naming this way, we would like to pay special attention to the beneficial properties of a tea leaf.

ABOUT AN TRÀ

We are a family business that started its tea journey back in 1964, when the founders, our grandfather, and grandmother, met in 1964, in Thanh Ba Tea Factory, the first tea factory in Vietnam. They were working there as interns and then joined in management and quality control. After setting the first one, they move to another place in Yên Bái to build the biggest tea factory at that time. After that, they worked and traveled around Vietnam to help set up more tea gardens and factories until they retired. Being a technologist and tea taster for most of their lives they kept tea as a centre of attention in our family's values.

To continue their legacy, we work in such fields as manufacturing, trade promotion, and education, to help Vietnam tea producers and tea entertainers develop Vietnamese Tea Culture.
