We are pleased to present to your attention another masterpiece from our beloved master Hou. The peculiarities of raw materials and weather conditions limit the amount of tea production and reduce everything to small exclusive batches that are purchased even before production. Tea grows at an altitude of 1050 m above sea level, in a clean environment, without the use of pesticides. Tea consists of carefully twisted tea leaves, harvested in the early spring and processed using Taiwanese 'Baozhong' technology.
Bao Zhong, literally "the wrapped kind", refers to a practice of wrapping the leaves in paper during the drying process that has largely been discontinued due to advancements in tea processing. This tea is the lightest oxidized wulong tea produced around the world.
Dry tea leaves have a pleasant sweet bakery aroma, with light baked notes. The warmed tea leaves continue with confectionery and slightly creamy motifs. After rinsing, the aroma reveals perfumery and floral motifs.
The infusion is clean, and transparent, with a yellow-jade tint. With longer infusion, it turns into golden tones. The taste of the tea is mellow, sweet, and fragrant. A refreshing infusion that leaves a long sweet aftertaste. The tea is drunk easily, delighting with its softness and oiliness inherent in high-mountain oolongs. Very light, this tea has very pleasant energy and character. The aroma in the empty bowl is sweet, creamy, floral. With subsequent brewing, it reveals more complex bakery notes.
