SHENG PU'ER FROM MING FENG ANCIENT TREES 2021

ORIGIN
MING FENG is a small area in Lincang, Southwest Yunnan. This place is not famous but produces high-quality tea harvested from ancient tea trees grown high in the mountains. The average altitude is about 2100 m above sea level and tea trees are about 350-500 years old. Perfect environment as well as 100% nature farming and traditional handmade processing gives this tea the highest score speaking about the quality and aging potential. Noble tea with its original character and deep, rich aroma and taste. This Mao Cha comes from 300-500 years old trees. It is 100% natural farming, with no involvement of people. Very rich tea in terms of gene pool.

Tea from the Ming Feng Shan area is one of the very high-quality representatives of authentic pu'er, harvested from 350-500-year-old trees and processed using traditional technologies by minorities who live high in the mountains. In our assortment, you can find the same tea leaves as Mao Cha, as well as 8 g balls. We are very proud and highly recommend trying our Lao Cha Tou Shu Cha 2022, made from the same raw material that makes this kind of tea unique a high-quality.

ORGANOLEPTICS
Dry tea leaves have a strong, sweet, honey fragrance, with fruity, citrus, and vegetal notes. A very rich and multifaceted aroma speaks of the first-class quality raw material and excellent storage conditions. Warmed tea leaves have a bright, vanilla, creamy, bakery aroma, with floral caramel and honey motifs. Rinsed tea leaves open into exotic fruits, flowers, and berries. At higher temperatures, the aroma of the leaves develops into more woody motifs.

The taste of tea is rich, deep, and soft, with honey, fruity, and herbal notes. Exotic fruits like mango, pineapple, and passion fruit. The tea has a mellow, honey-like texture, with a slight menthol freshness, and a sweet and long-lasting aftertaste. At a higher temperature and longer infusion, the taste has a restrained bitterness and astringency, perfectly accompanying the deep, slightly viscous taste. All these are numerous components of one wonderful tea experience. After two years of aging in natural storage, this tea became softer and rounder in taste, and also began to give a darker color to the infusion. The tea has a warming and calming effect, as well as the obvious energy of high mountains.
