Due to the high popularity of this area, the raw leaf material from this place is one of the most expensive. SHENG PU'ER FROM LAOBANZHANG ANCIENT TREES 2019

ORIGIN
LAOBANZHANG is a legendary village, located in the Bulang mountains, Menghai area, Yunnan province, China. The altitude is 1700-1900 m above sea level. The unique climate, high altitude, soil, and humidity create an excellent environment for the tea trees' growth, which results in giving this tea a special character and taste. Nearly 200,000 ancient trees have been grown here for hundreds and even thousands of years. There are at least 9000 tea trees older than 800 years old. Pesticides are forbidden there by the law, and the local people grow tea organically, following old cultivating and harvesting traditions. Due to a limited quantity of raw leaf materials, the price is getting higher each year. The annual harvest is about 50 tons. It is becoming increasingly challenging nowadays to get an authentic Laobanzhang, therefore, I'm very happy to share this unique tea. This tea is incredibly famous for its unique, intensive, long-lasting flavour and strong Cha Qi (energy). Rich taste with multifaceted notes and tones.

ORGANOLEPTICS
A beautiful tea cake consisting of large leaves with a relatively large percentage of buds. The average degree of pressing allows the tea to be stored for a long time, while at any time it can be carefully taken apart into individual leaves. Dry tea leaves have a bright fruity, honey aroma from the very first touch. Warmed tea leaves have the aroma of exotic fruits. The rinsed tea leaves continue with dried fruits, bakery, and herbal motifs. With further infusions, the aroma of the leaves reveals forest, woody, herbal motifs. Soft, deep, and multifaceted.

The tea has a sweet, fresh, mild taste. Fruity, citrus, and sugary notes are harmoniously combined with the power of the mountains, which have absorbed the leaves harvested from old trees. Tea leaves a very fresh aftertaste with a slight menthol on the tip of the tongue. Tea warms, soothes, and immerses you in a state of harmony. Even with longer infusions, the tea remains soft and deep without any hint of astringency or bitterness. Considering its relatively young age, this tea has a fairly developed taste and promises to become even deeper in the future. Pu'Er of this level is almost impossible to find in the Western world due to its high quality and rarity. The tea leaves a long-after taste and a state of peace and tranquility.
