GREEN TEA is one of the world's most studied and revered beverages for its cultural significance and impressive range of health benefits. Green tea is rich in bioactive compounds and supports both physical and cognitive well-being when consumed regularly and mindfully. Due to the tea leaves' special cultivars, climate, and quality, green tea is rich in amino acids, vitamins, and microelements. The highest-quality green teas are made from spring young buds and leaves, traditionally processed to prevent oxidation and keep the tea leaf in its original chemical composition. Research over the past few decades has discovered that green tea reduces the risk of heart disease, cleans the circulatory system, strengthens blood vessels, reduces blood pressure, lowers blood sugar, prevents the development of cancer cells, and relieves nervous tension.

SEED-GROWN TEA PLANT
This tea refers to a Qunzi Zhong, a "seed-grown tea plant". Unlike cloned or asexually propagated cultivars, which are created by cuttings or grafting from a single "mother" plant, Qunzi Zhong tea trees are grown from seeds. This results in a genetically diverse population of plants. Each seed-grown tea tree is unique, with slightly different characteristics. This genetic variety helps improve the resilience of the tea garden, making it more resistant to pests, diseases, and environmental stress. Seed-grown trees usually develop stronger and deeper roots than cloned plants, allowing them to draw nutrients and minerals from deeper soil layers, often giving the tea a more complex and rich flavor profile. Qunzi Zhong represents the traditional way of tea cultivation. Because of the genetic diversity, teas made from Qunzi Zhong plants tend to offer more layered and nuanced flavors, reflecting a richer expression of the local terroir (soil, climate, and environment).
WILD TEA
Wild tea refers to plants that grow naturally in the forest or mountains without human planting, pruning, or care. These trees are very old, deeply rooted in the earth, and part of a diverse natural ecosystem. These are tall, old trees, some more than 100, 300, or even 1000+ years old, rooted deep into mineral-rich soil, thriving in diverse ecosystems. Wild tea trees grow tall and strong, with roots reaching deep into the earth. This allows them to absorb various minerals, creating complex, full-bodied flavors that change with each harvest. Growing in remote forests, these trees are untouched by pesticides or fertilizers. Many tea lovers say wild teas carry a unique energy, a grounding, calming, and sometimes uplifting presence. This is believed to be the "Qi" of the mountains, the life force of ancient trees, passed into the leaves. Wild tea is often high in antioxidants, polyphenols, and minerals. Because these trees grow slowly and absorb nutrients naturally, their leaves produce clean, nourishing brews that are gentle on the body but rich in effect.

This green tea was crafted from the first spring harvest of 2025, picked from wild old tea trees growing in the high mountains of Sơn La Province, near Mộc Châu. It was created by our long-time friend and tea master Hou, who occasionally, for the sake of experimentation and personal inspiration, makes unique teas outside his professional field. This tea is one of those special creations - sincere, spontaneous, and born from pure passion for the art of tea.
It beautifully combines simplicity and depth: the clean taste of fresh spring leaves, a smooth texture, and a distinctive character that reflects the master’s touch. Premium wild-grown material and meticulous craftsmanship came together in harmony to create this exceptional tea, which we named Master Hou’s Dream. We are delighted to share this remarkable example of modern Vietnamese tea artistry, where ancient nature and creative mastery unite. Produced in a very limited quantity, this tea is unlikely to be reproduced again - making each cup a moment to remember.
ORIGIN
Sơn La Province, located in the mountainous northwest of Vietnam, is one of the country’s most picturesque and ecologically rich tea regions. Situated about 300 kilometers from Hanoi, this area is known for its high-altitude landscapes, mist-covered valleys, and fertile red basaltic soil that together create ideal conditions for tea cultivation. The province’s subtropical highland climate remains cool throughout the year, with abundant humidity and frequent fog, helping tea leaves develop a rich concentration of aromatic compounds and a balanced taste profile. Home to more than a dozen ethnic groups, including Thai, H’Mông, Dao, and Muong, Sơn La preserves a deep cultural connection between people and nature. Many of these communities have cultivated tea for generations, especially the ancient Shan Tuyết trees that grow in remote mountain areas above 1,200 meters. Their large, silver-haired leaves are harvested by hand and used to produce exceptional green, red, and fermented teas.
