SHENG PU'ER from SINGLE ANCIENT TREE of BULANG SHAN 1998 (PRIVATE PRODUCTION)

ORIGIN
Bulang Mountains are located in Menghai country, Xishuangbanna prefecture, Yunnan province, China. Mountain ranges intersect with valleys, the altitude is 535 to 2082 meters above sea level. The forest covers up to 67% of the territory. The old trees of the Bulang Shan occupy 9505 mu (665 ha). The 'Bulang' minority, formed from the ancient 'Pu' tribe, were the first to grow tea in Yunnan. They moved to the local mountains thousands of years ago. Tea from this area is famous for its intense, astringent, and sweet taste with clear 'Huigan' and powerful 'Qi'.

This private-production tea is made from early spring tea leaves harvested from 300+ years old single tea tree. Traditionally processed and aged for 25 years, this tea developed into aged tea with its original character and magical 'Cha Qi'.

ORGANOLEPTICS
This type of tea is my favorite. Due to the high-quality raw material, this tea is powerful due to its age its full of wisdom, harmony, and balance. After being aged in Hong Kong for 25 years this tea is a perfect example of the old tea, Sheng Pu'Er is famous for. It looks like all five elements came together in one piece to fulfill our needs. Best find for Pu'Er tea connoisseurs.

Dry tea has a clear and intense aroma with a woody and earthy aroma. This tea has a clear fragrance of time and it hits you from the first breath. After warming up tea leaves aroma develops into vegetal, spices, and medicine. From the very start, you have more associations than notes and this tea brings you to the forest after the rain. You can feel woody essences and fire, as well as leather hints in the background. The taste is multifaceted and intense with woody and mineral notes. This tea has a clear taste with a mellow and mineral texture as well as a very sweet long-lasting aftertaste. Water, earth, wood, fire, and metal. This tea has a noble character and deep, calming energy. A true piece of art in a Pu'Er tea world.
