ORIGIN
Bulang Mountains are in Menghai country, Xishuangbanna prefecture, Yunnan province, China. Mountain ranges intersect with valleys, and the altitude is 535 to 2082 meters above sea level. The forest covers up to 67% of the territory. The old trees of the Bulang Shan occupy 9505 mu (665 ha). The 'Bulang' minority, formed from the ancient 'Pu' tribe, were the first to grow tea in Yunnan. Their rich history, dating back thousands of years, is deeply intertwined with the tea from this area. Tea from this area is famous for its intense, astringent, and sweet taste with clear 'Huigan' and powerful 'Cha Qi'.
Our aged Shu Pu'Er, with nearly two decades of aging, is a testament to the art of tea-making. This 100-gram cake, medium pressing, is crafted from high-quality small tea leaves from the spring harvest. The tea's original charisma and deep taste result from professional Taiwanese storage, a mark of quality and authenticity. The tea easily stratifies into separate layers of leaves, making it a pleasure to handle. The large number of buds gives the tea a softness, while the presence of leaves adds depth and versatility.
ORGANOLEPTICS
Dry tea leaves have a light, woody, nutty aroma with camphor notes. After warming up, the aroma continues with sweet, slightly caramel motifs. After rinsing, the aroma becomes pure, sweet, woody notes. The classic aroma of Shu Pu'Er has made more than one generation of tea connoisseurs fall in love with this tea category. The tea is brewed into a clean, deep, dark infusion with a hint of aged cognac, going into balm or traditional Eastern medicine. The mellow taste of tea, with the signature sweetness of Shu Pu'Er and pure woody motifs, are the standard quality marks of aged Shu Pu'Er, where years have finally dissolved the taste of 'wet piling' and brought in its unique note of 'time'. Deep and multifaceted, the tea has a calm energy and a peaceful state. It falls many times, delighting with its gradual disclosure and development.
