ORIGIN
Bing Dao is one of the most famous ancient tea tree areas north of Mengku, Lincang, Yunnan. The history of this tea started at least 500 years ago when the Dai ethnic group began to cultivate tea on this land. Due to its high quality, unique character, and sweet taste, this tea was appreciated by the local aristocracy and was drunk during international events. All these aspects made tea from Bing Dao very famous. Nowadays, Bing Dao is one of the most expensive raw materials for sheng pu'er production. The area is home to ancient tea trees, some over a thousand years old, contributing to the region's reputation for quality. In the early 2000s, Bing Dao tea gained international recognition, attracting tea enthusiasts and collectors and further solidifying its esteemed status.
Bing Dao is in the mountainous terrain, characterized by high elevations ranging from 1,500 to 2,200 meters. This high-altitude environment and the region’s subtropical climate create ideal conditions for tea cultivation. The tea gardens benefit from nutrient-rich soil and abundant rainfall, promoting the healthy growth of the tea plants. The region's biodiversity is also a significant factor in the unique flavors of Bing Dao tea.
ORGANOLEPTICS
The dry tea leaves exude a delightful honey, plum, and wood aroma. This intensely rich flavor reflects the high-quality raw materials used in crafting this cake and is accompanied by a sweet, marmalade-like fragrance. After rinsing, the leaves reveal an even more fragrant and delicate scent, showcasing strong yet gentle notes of honey, vanilla, and baked apple. The infusion presents a beautiful light amber color that can vary depending on the steeping time and water temperature.
The taste is sweet, featuring hints of dried fruits, caramelized sugar, and a subtle touch of wood. It offers a profound depth of flavor with a long-lasting aftertaste, accompanied by a noticeable menthol sensation. This tea possesses what is often referred to as "impact force," a unique experience where the taste travels from the back of the tongue to the tip. Bing Dao tea's remarkable strength and richness are concentrated in the middle of the tongue's surface.
Due to its rising popularity, authentic Bing Dao sheng pu'er has become increasingly rare to find. I am thrilled to offer you the opportunity to enjoy genuine Bing Dao at a special price, and I hope you will appreciate it as much as I do. When I savor this tea, I often reflect on the significance of high-quality raw leaves, where the noble character and gentle taste create a sense of well-being and tranquility.
