"TAKE FIVE" DIAN HONG

TEA SAMPLE SET

Yunnan, China

DIAN HONG "YUNNAN RED TEA" is one of the 'Gongfu Hong Cha' category teas from Yunnan province, China. The history of this tea started at the end of the 1930s when local tea masters started to produce red tea in Fengqing (Lincang City, Yunnan Province, China), to compete with the Indian and Ceylon tea markets. Yunnan black tea has a dense and rich taste, an amazing colour of infusion, and originality due to the special varietal, grown in Yunnan. The reverse side of the leaves is covered with a thick velvety pile, which makes it look like gold after an oxidation process and links to specific grade names like 'Golden Buds', 'Golden Tips', 'Golden Needle' etc.

Made from old plants, sometimes even ancient tea trees, grown high in the mountains and gone through a complex production process, this tea has a lot to say and has an army of followers. Don't miss a chance to dive into the world of high-quality red tea and explore Dian Hong with our "Take Five" sample set! Five teas, different by harvest time, grade of the leaves, and age of a tea tree.
