ORIGIN
Vietnam is known as one of the oldest tea regions in the world, with a vast area of ancient tea trees spreading from northeast to northwest. Hà Giang province is located in the northeast part of Vietnam on the border with Yunnan province, China. This region is famous for its wild ancient trees grown here for hundreds and even thousands of years. The unique climate, high altitude, rich soil, and high humidity create an excellent environment for tea trees to grow, giving this tea an extraordinary character and taste. This is a homeland of different minorities like Vietnamese, H'Mông, Tay, Kinh, Nung, Dao, and others, traditionally using tea leaves as medicine and taking care of the tea trees.
This Shu Puer is made from raw materials harvested in Cao Bồ district, Ha Giang Province, from old tea trees and processed by an experienced tea master who has been producing Pu'Er for export to China for many years. This tea is a high-quality representative of the old-school Pu'Er and will please with its taste and character not only lovers but also experienced tea connoisseurs. The tea mainly consists of mature leaves, and the degree of fermentation is average, which guarantees the potential for further aging. Experienced and sensitive tea people can feel the energy of the mountains and old trees, manifested in the pleasant, soothing nature of the tea.
Our Shu Pu'Er is a versatile tea suitable for both solitary and group brewing. The tea leaves are pressed into small, 10 g bricks, making it easy to brew for one or divide for two sessions. The dense pressing allows easy hand disassembly into separate small fractions, ensuring a convenient brewing experience.
ORGANOLEPTICS
In its dry form, our Shu Pu'Er exudes a subtle, clean, woody aroma, complemented by light, nutty, and earthy notes. Upon warming, the tea leaf continues to release woody forest motifs reminiscent of the subtropical climate of its origin. The rinsed tea leaf reveals sweet, woody, and slightly smoky nuances, setting the stage for a unique and delightful tea experience.
The tea gives a beautiful, clean infusion of dark amber and even balsamic color. The taste is light, soft and clean, with deep woody notes and revealing mineral nuances in further pouring. The aftertaste of the tea has an apparent sweetness, mint, and minerality, indicating a fantastic energy component that is capable of further transformation over many years. The infusion is soft, with a creamy texture, and its warming properties make it an excellent choice in the cold season. The tea withstands many brews, producing the same smooth, calm infusions.
