ORIGIN
Menghai County is one of the most famous Pu’Er-producing regions in the western part of the Xishuangbanna area, Yunnan Province, China. It is also the home of legendary fabrics, which produced the most iconic pu’er teas from the 1950s to the ’90s. This territory includes legendary mountains like Nannuo, Bada, Hakei, Bulang (Laobanzhang, Lao Man Er, Mannuo), Meng Song, and others. These places are famous for their ancient tea trees and tea with a strong, intense, powerful taste.

ABOUT
This tea is a remarkable find for aficionados of aged teas. With over 30 years of maturation, it has transformed into an exclusive and rare product boasting exceptional organoleptic and health-enhancing properties. Crafted from high-quality material, the blend of a "bud and two leaves" is tightly compressed into a 250-gram brick. As the photos show, the tea contains a wealth of young shoots, imparting a soft, velvety texture. The tea easily breaks into individual fragments, adding an element of aesthetic pleasure to the tea experience.

ORGANOLEPTICS
The aroma of the dry leaves is light, woody, and nutty. True to its age, this Pu'Er has matured beautifully, exhibiting the classic traits of post-fermented tea. Stored initially in China and South Korea under dry conditions, it has aged gracefully, developing a pure aroma and a noble character. When warmed, the tea leaves emit a sweet, woody fragrance with subtle tobacco and nutty nuances. After rinsing, the aroma blossoms into an exquisite, soft, sweet, woody scent with notes of sandalwood and agarwood.

The tea brews into a dark amber, almost black infusion, and can endure numerous steepings. Its flavor is sweet, aromatic, smooth, and velvety, offering a deep, rich taste with a long, sweet aftertaste. Expect notes of dry wood, nuts, and tobacco, along with what the Chinese call Chen Xiang, the "aroma of time." The tea’s overall flavor profile aligns with traditional Chinese medicinal tastes. The tea reveals new layers with each infusion, delighting with its noble and pure energy. The tea possesses a nearly fruit-honey sweetness and carries a very calm, gentle energy "Qi" that immerses one in a state of tranquility and harmony.
