ORIGIN
Undergone traditional Hong Kong storage and then aged in natural storage, this shu (ripe) pu'er acquired a deep and rich taste, so loved by fans of this brand. Harvested processed and pressed into a 250 g brick in 2006, this tea is made from raw material consisting of medium-sized leaves, where a large number of buds are observed not only on the surface but also inside the brick. A glossy, healthy leaf color with lots of golden buds indicates that the tea is made from high-quality material and has been stored under the right conditions. The degree of pressing is average, the tea is easily disassembled into separate sheets.
ORGANOLEPTICS
The aroma of dry leaves has fresh, sweet, woody notes. Warmed tea leaves reveal nutty and tobacco nuances. After rinsing the leaves, the aroma develops into a sweet, woody, rich flavour, with nutty and bakery notes. The aroma of warm, damp wood evokes associations with a sauna and a country house.
From the very first infusion, the tea gives a dark brown, deep, clear, red-tinged infusion. The taste is rich and sweet, with oak notes. With every new infusion, the taste reveals itself, delighting with new shades and a softer texture. With longer steeping time, the infusion acquires a deep (woody) resinous, oud character. Long, sweet aftertaste, with a slight freshness on the front of the tongue. There is no storage flavour at all, allowing you to enjoy the pure taste of tea leaves and the result of masterful fermentation and perfect storage conditions. The tea can withstand a large number of steepings, each time giving an intense, rich, deep taste. Calming 'Cha Qi' almost imperceptibly immerses you in a state of relaxation and peace.
In the aroma of leaves, experienced pu'er lovers will feel the light notes of raw materials, expressed by a slight sourness. This note makes it clear that the tea went through the traditional medium-level fermentation for further evolution during storage. which allowed it to develop, and that tea is only halfway through its capabilities. Completely ready for consumption now, and ideal for further storage.
High-quality raw material, perfect processing, and skillful traditional Hong Kong storage have turned this tea into a bright and original echo of the long-forgotten aroma of shu (ripe) pu'er of the 90s!
