ORIGIN
Zhenghe is a county in northern Fujian province and is under the administration of the prefecture-level city of Nanping. Zhenghe became a county in 1000 AD, but its previous name was Guanli. In 1115 AD, the emperor appreciated the Gongfu tea from Guanli County. He delightfully named the county after his reign title "Zhenghe", which lasts till now.
Zhenghe Hong Cha is one of the famous Chinese single-origin 'Gongfu Hong Cha' teas known for their original flavour. Very rare and unique tea, definitely a "must-know tea" for tea connoisseurs.
ORGANOLEPTICS
This red tea is made from tea leaves, harvested in early spring in the Zhenghe Country area. A simple and at the same time noble and wonderful red tea for every day, it will warm and calm you at any time of the year.
Dry tea leaves have a bright, sweet dried fruit aroma, with a pronounced plum note. Sweet berry honey motif. The warmed tea leaf continues with brighter dried fruits and woody motifs. Rinsed tea leaves reveal soft, creamy, berry notes. With further brewing, the aroma reveals classic woody tobacco notes, but with its unique twist.
The infusion is dark amber with a red tint and gives a soft, sweet, and balanced taste. There are light plum and tobacco notes, leaving a long sweet aftertaste. The tea has a honey sweetness, an aromatic infusion, and a slight viscosity in the aftertaste.
