The origins of Emei Zhu Ye Qing can be traced back several centuries, with records indicating that tea cultivation in the Emei Mountain area began as early as the Tang Dynasty (618–907 AD). The region is often celebrated for its rich cultural heritage and natural beauty, further enhancing the tea's reputation. During the Song Dynasty (960–1279 AD), this tea gained prominence among scholar-officials and poets, who valued its quality and refined flavor profile. Over the years, Emei Zhu Ye Qing became associated with the tea culture of Buddhist monasteries, as Buddhist monks favored the tea for its refreshing properties and its ability to aid in meditation and concentration. In modern times, Emei Zhu Ye Qing has continued to thrive, being part of China’s rich tea heritage. It has garnered attention on a global scale, lauded for its unique flavor, health benefits, and cultural significance.

Emei Zhu Ye Qing is celebrated for its delicate, flavorful profile and remarkable appearance. The dry leaves are slender, twisted, and typically vibrant green, resembling the shape of bamboo leaves. ORIGIN
The Emei Mountain range is located in Sichuan Province, southwestern China. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is characterized by its steep, rugged terrain, dense forests, and diverse flora and fauna. The area's unique climate, with warm and humid summers and cool winters, provides ideal conditions for tea cultivation. The tea gardens are situated at high altitudes (generally between 600 and 1,000 meters), which significantly influences the growth and flavor of Emei Zhu Ye Qing. The misty environment and rich soil contribute to the tea's distinct taste, providing the perfect balance of sweetness and umami.

ORGANOLEPTIC
To brew Emei Zhu Ye Qing, water should be heated to around 70-80°C (158-176°F). Using a ratio of about 3-5 grams of tea leaves per 150 ml of water, the tea can be steeped multiple times (typically 2-3 times), with each infusion showcasing its evolving flavors.

This exquisite tea is crafted from fresh buds harvested in early spring. The dried leaves emit a subtle, sweet aroma. Following a quick rinse, the fragrance evolves into delicate notes of green vegetables, cream, and flowers.
