TEA OF 250 YEAR OLD MAN 2011

ORIGIN
Luke On, also known as Lu'An Hei Cha, is a fermented tea famous for its healing and beneficial properties. This particular tea is a very unusual representative of Lu'An Hei Cha for several reasons. Firstly, it is made from high-quality raw material harvested from 250+-year-old tea trees, which is very rare for this category of tea, since the quality of the final product depends more on the production process than on the quality of the raw material from which it is made. However, the manufacturer has focused on quality so that you and I can enjoy the highest quality fermented tea, which delights not only with its beneficial properties but also with its extraordinary flavour.

Second, this tea is made in honor of the famous herbalist and Qigong master Li Ching-Yuen, a man famous in China for living for about 250 years. In his homeland he is called the “250-year-old man” and this tea bears the corresponding name, as a memory and living proof that tea is a drink of health and longevity. A special Luk On tea, aging in the presence of a range of Chinese herbs according to the recipe of Li Ching-Yuen, gives the tea its specific properties in connection not only with the beneficial gastrointestinal effects we expect from this tea. Don't expect flavored tea, this is a pure tea product that only has herbal healing properties at deep levels. After production in 2011, after several years of storage in Lu'An, the tea moved to Hong Kong and continued its aging in Natural Hong Kong storage conditions, which made this tea soft and delicate, sweet and deep.

ORGANOLEPTICS
Dry tea leaves have a light, sweet, woody, and nutty aroma. When warmed, the aroma opens up into sweet, bakery, nutty notes, a little dry aromatic wood, and wildflowers. After rinsing, the aroma changes towards berry, fruit, and bakery motifs. Very clean, soft, and deep aroma.

The taste is soft, sweet, deep, with woody, nutty notes. The tea has a creamy texture and a long sweet aftertaste. Fragrant wood, hazelnut, associations with a bathhouse, a village hut, a forest on a hot summer day, and wild herbs and flowers blend. All this immerses you in pleasant thoughts and calming contemplation of tea as a health drink and even a medicine. Very aromatic and versatile, with no hint of fermentation processes or storage conditions. The colour of the infusion depends on the infusion time and varies from dark amber to dark cognac colour. The infusion is clean and thick.

A true work of art with a complex taste and bright aroma.
