CEREMONIAL GRADE MATCHA "OKUMIDORI"

ORIGIN
This is the tea that is traditionally brewed in the Japanese tea ceremony "Chanoyu". To produce tea of the highest quality, only the best young leaves harvested from April to May are used. After the long and strenuous picking and processing, the leaves are grounded using stone mills into a fine powder, which is brewed by whisking it in water. This tea has a very unusual delicate, creamy texture and, sweet and fresh taste. This is a very healthy drink that has retained the maximum amount of vitamins and microelements. This tea is also the record holder for caffeine.

This Matcha is made by an experienced team of tea masters from Osada Tea Japan. This company has existed since 1948 and has produced organic tea for decades. Natsumi Osada, Japan’s leading certified tea instructor, Champion of the 56th Japan National Tea Tasting Competition, and winner of numerous awards such as Japan Tea screening skill competitions, is a main Tea Master who checks all the quality and flavours. This company won numerous awards and is well known and respected even overseas.

This Ceremonial Matcha is made from the 'Okumidori' cultivar, which is a hybrid between Yabukita and Zairai cultivars. Known for its mellow taste, low astringency, and fresh fragrance. Organic certificated green tea. Harvested in a covered tea garden.
