AFTERNOON GONGFU by ANDREI IVANOV

ORIGIN
This blend is our second creation and an extension of our award-winning blend called Morning Gongfu! This blend belongs to the 'Afternoon Tea' category, which includes red/black tea with a lighter and more delicate taste and aroma. This tea is the result of our long experiments and a rather complex recipe, which we are very proud of. The blend consists of red/black tea from different tea-producing countries, grown on organic plantations with pesticide-free certificates, and almost all of them are entirely handmade!

ORGANOLEPTICS
The blend contains a large number of buds, which gives the tea softness and sophistication, as well as a large number of leaves, guaranteeing a deep, multifaceted taste. Dry tea leaves have a sweet, honey, fruity aroma. The warmed tea leaf continues with sweet bakery motifs, playing with floral, caramel, and honey notes. Rinsed tea leaves reveal a rich woody, nutty, honey aroma.

The taste of the tea is sweet, rich, and deep with dominant floral, fruity, and tobacco notes. In our opinion, the result is a very balanced, soft, and multifaceted taste in which floral, honey and woody notes coexist perfectly! The tea has a silky, honey-like texture and leaves a pleasant, long, sweet aftertaste. Using different brewing methods, different water temperatures, and different infusion duration, you can get a very different tea experience. So, the name of the blend speaks for itself, and it perfectly combines Eastern and Western tea philosophies. Tea develops beautifully and very differently in any brewing style. With longer infusions, a pleasant tannic note appears in the tea, which has a lingering character, perfectly complementing the lightness and elegance of this blend.

GASTRONOMY
As in the best traditions of 'Five O'clock Tea', this tea will be an excellent accompaniment to light snacks and desserts, traditionally served during this event. We also recommend trying this tea with light cheeses. This tea will open up beautifully when brewed cold, looks great in glassware, and will be a refreshing and tasty appetizer for your lunch or dinner.
